Common Errors on Midterm 1
problem 1:
- not computing mass flow rate, fuel rate or TSFC
problem 2:
- not
realising that the isentropic area ratio equation has two roots, one at
M1=.25 and the other at M2=2.4 corresponding to inlet and exit
conditions
- calculation errors in mass flow rate
problem 3:
- many people did not attempt problem 3 due to low weightage
- calculation error in (Te)_min
- not computing (ve)_min corresponding to (Te)_min
