MAE156 is a senior level design class where teams of 3-5 Mechanical Engineering students work on industry, research, and community sponsored projects. Emphasis is placed on understanding customer needs, application of engineering theory, and an effective design process. Students have access to a full machine shop, rapid prototyping tools, and CAD packages. At the completion of the 15 week period a physical prototype and report are delivered to the sponsor.
