• NEW: FINAL EXAM - Tuesday 12/16, 11:30am-2:29pm (see below for Classroom Assignments).
  Exam is cumulative (includes Ch 1-6, 8-10), closed textbook/notes, equation sheets from midterm II and any needed Tables will be provided. You will need a calculator (to be used for arithmetic only) and pencil/eraser. Please review Academic Policy below.

Homework

• Homework will be assigned each week and collected on specified due date. Late homework will not be accepted under any circumstances.
• Homework must follow specific requirements. See Homework Assignment Requirements and Sample Solution.
• Homework re-grade requests must include a written statement detailing the justification for the re-grade (be sure to indicate on statement: name, date, email address). Re-grades will not be accepted beyond 1 week after return of homework.

TA Discussion Sessions

There will be weekly discussion sessions (in 105 EBUII) to discuss student questions and solve sample problems.

Quizzes

A short quiz may be given in class regarding main points of lectured material. There will be no make-up quizzes.

Grading

• Homework (lowest dropped) - 12%
• Design Problem - 4%
• Quizzes - 2%
• Midterm Exams (2) - 40%
• Final Exam - 42%

Academic/Professional Integrity

All students are expected to know their responsibilities and uphold the standards of academic honesty and engineering professionalism. Students are encouraged to discuss lecture and homework topics with each other to promote learning. However each student must do and submit their own work on all homework assignments, quizzes, and exams. Submitted work that is copied or taken from an unauthorized source (e.g., another student's work) or performed using unauthorized resources (e.g., calculator programs or notes during exams) will be considered as academic misconduct.
